Darren understood her concern, since he heard this "artifact" was somehow responsible for the several deaths of different miners on the Aegis VII colony, which they took it from. "I think it's about fuckin' time I teach Mathius some common sense about that artifact they brought up here." She said as they walked down the hallway. "Hello there, Vincent, I assume they called you up as well?" Darren replied, as she nodded. "Surprised to see you up this early, Darren." Said Chief Alissa Vincent, the head of security on the Ishimura. He then turned and exited down the hallway.Īs he walked, Darren turned a corner and saw a familiar face. "Lights off." He said, as his room door slid open, and the lights shut off. He finished by putting on his jacket and RIG, and went to exit. He then got up from the desk, and equipped all of his gear.

He soon broke out of this memory when a face popped up on the computer on his desk. the little girl's cries that were silenced. He could vastly remember the smell of the billowing flames. But the death of a young child during an excursion was what made him quit. Darren missed them dearly, and he also missed Earth as well. It was a photo of his friend, firefighters who worked for Earth. He sat down, and then picked up a picture that sat on his desk. Exhausted, he stopped it from swaying and walked over to his main desk. He then stood back, and threw a sidekick which shook the frame of it.
He wiped some sweat from his face as he threw a few punches to the side of the bag.
